Print QR code cards

When you select Generate QR Code PDF, AuthCop opens a separate PDF window that turns your QR codes into printable cards.

You can open it from:

The PDF window, showing the theme list and the options for name, start date, expiry date and cutting guidelines.

Make the PDF

  1. Select Generate QR Code PDF. A new window or tab opens.
  2. Choose a picture theme for the cards: Kangaroo, Emu, Koala, Lorikeet (lorikeet), Wombat, Echidna, Random (a mix), or None.
  3. Choose what to show on each card:
    • Show user's name
    • Show start date (only if the codes have a start date)
    • Show expiry date (only if the codes have an end date)
    • Show cutting guidelines, to help you cut the cards out
  4. Confirm your choices. The PDF is built in your browser.
  5. Download or print the PDF.

If the PDF window doesn't open

  • Allow pop-ups for the admin portal in your browser, then try again.
  • Keep the admin portal open until the PDF window shows your cards. The admin portal sends the codes to the PDF window when it opens.
  • The window shows "Waiting for data..." until it receives the codes. If it stays like this, close it and select Generate QR Code PDF again.

Keeping the codes safe

The PDF window checks that the codes really came from your admin portal before showing them. The codes are only in your browser; they are not uploaded anywhere.

Treat printed cards like keys. Hand them to students in person, and remove lost cards from the student's MFA Methods tab.
