Admin permissions
Each staff member only sees the pages they need. You give staff permissions on the Admin Users page, or give them to a whole group of staff on the Admin Groups page. A staff member gets every permission given to them directly plus every permission given to any admin group they are in.
Permissions and what they unlock
| Permission | Pages it unlocks |
|---|---|
| Global Administrator | Everything, including all Settings pages. |
| User Manager | Users, Groups, Classes, Caregivers. |
| MFA Policy Manager | Locations, Teacher MFA Requests, and every MFA page (Methods, Generate QR Codes, Access Policies, Blocked Countries, Enrolment Policies). |
| MFA Manager | Teacher MFA Requests, and MFA → Generate QR Codes. Can add and remove a student's sign-in methods. |
| Teacher Request Reviewer | Teacher MFA Requests. A good choice for classroom teachers. |
| Report User | Reports (Sign-in Logs, Audit Logs, Import Logs). |
| Travel Request Manager | Travel Plans (current plans and settings). |
| Travel Request Contributor | Travel Plans (current plans only). |
Everyone can see the Dashboard.
tip
Give people the smallest set of permissions they need. For example, most teachers only need Teacher Request Reviewer.
Some pages also depend on your school's plan
A few menus only appear when a feature is turned on for your school, whatever your permissions are:
| Menu | Shown when |
|---|---|
| MFA | Multi-factor authentication is turned on for your school. |
| Travel Plans | Travel plans are turned on for your school. |
| Breached Accounts | Breached accounts is turned on for your school. |
| Classes, Caregivers, Settings → Caregiver Portal | Your school is set up as an education (school) organisation. |
If you think a feature should be turned on, contact AuthCop support.
When permission changes take effect
A staff member may need to sign out of the admin portal and sign in again before new permissions show up.
